Q1: Can Message Master send a message more than once to a mobile phone?
SMS is a reliable way of communicating short messages between and among mobile phones. Each time a message is sent, he server at the mobile phone operator will put the message on the queue. It will then determine if the mobile phone to receive that message is switched on or within network coverage. If it is true, the message will be delivered immediately. Otherwise the message will be kept at the server. The moment that mobile phone is available, it will be sent out. Millions of mobile phones around the world are depending on SMS as an efficient and cheap alternative of communication.
Message Master has 8 groups of 5 mobile phones (total of 40). If necessary, the user can set the mobile phone number twice, this person will receive the message twice.

Q2: Can the user be allowed to customize the HTML control pages?
The HTML (Web) pages is the virtual control panel of Message Master.(MM) It is an interface between the user and MM. The way information is organized has been carefully plan, both for easy of use and navigating around. Besides there are many embedded function calls within the pages.
We are developing a user interface protocol at the present moment. It will be made available for customers to use to develop their custom software or user interface.

Q3: What about contacting to radio pagers?
Message Master has the capability to page radio pagers but it is not implemented. Paging is less common today as mobile phones becomes more affordable and feature packed. Paging is a one-way device, as such there is no way to know if the person to be contacted did indeed receive the message.

Q4: Can other antennas be used?
Message Master uses the common SMA type of RF connector. Supplied, as standard option is a unity gain GSM 900/1800 antenna. If MM is installed in a poor reception location, external high gain antenna can be used.

Q5: What about CDMA and GSM1900 versions?
It will be available when the modem is made available.

Q6: Can I access Message Master remotely using broadband dial-up connection?
To access Message Master over the Internet, it must be setup on a network with available fixed global IP address. Majority of the broadband internet access have roaming IP or dynamic IP. Since the broadband IP is unfixed, connection is in theory not possible. However there are IP redirecting services available to help you put Message Master on Internet. Some example of IP redirecting services includes www.txo.com & www.dearfiled.com. There are available utilities on the Internet to help you monitor the current IP address of your connection, many of which are free. You can contact us or your distributor for setting up procedures.

Q7: Can Message Master communicate with other PC based software?
We are presently developing a DLL interface which will be made available FREE to software developers and users to create applications to work with Message Master. We will announce its availability when it is ready. If you wish to have more information, please contact us or drop us an email.

Q8: Are there any expansion capability?
Two communication interfaces are standard to Message Master. 1 RS232 and a TCP/IP interface on Ethernet. We are adding to our product list modules like digital I/O modules of TCP/IP protocol that will work directly with Message Master to increase the number of I/Os. Analog modules that work with industrial standard 4-20mA signal, 0-10V input, and Temperature modules will also be available soon. These expansion modules can work independently as well as interfacing to Message Master for SMS and event logging capabilities.

Q9: Can I send SMS through Message Master using PC hyper terminal program?
Message Master has an available RS232 serial port. Our engineers will soon implement in MM a simple protocol to allow this possibility.
